Beach Time!

This is a little out of order, but we are dreaming already of our next time at the beach, so we thought we'd lead off with this! We got to go to Hilton Head before the hectic summer began. Some of Bryce's favorite activities there are riding bikes, running sprints on the sand with daddy, playing with big trucks, and of course ANY extra time he gets to spend with cousin Elsie and Aunt Beth and Uncle David. Bryce's beach words include 'bike', 'ocean' (which he sometimes uses to refer to pools), 'shark' (no, we haven't seen any), 'whale' (same), 'Elsie', 'swimming', and 'water'. In fact, our little guy is developing quite a vocabulary. His newest trick is 2-word sentences. The ever- endearing 'Go Away!' to his loving parents, 'dog dog night night' (his stuffed animal dog's clever name), 'mommy car or daddy car', pointing out different features such as 'bryce nose', 'mommy hair', etc. His questions are usually 'daddy home?', 'mommy go?' and the like. His retention and absorption of everything around him is amazing- and even daunting at times! Finally, his latest phrase mommy particularly adores is 'I love you'. It's hard for others to figure out that this is what he actually says- but it melts our hearts!
