Evening activities

After our reunion and a day at the beach the families gathered together for an evening at The Salty Dog for Derby Day festivities. For the occasion Elsie and Bryce celebrated with Shirley Temples. After some unwinding time in the living room- playing on the blanket for Brooke and Kit and watching Pinocchio for Bryce and Elsie, bed time is a slumber party! Play time in the evening leads, eventually, to bed time. The last words we heard were Bryce calling out 'Elsie, shhh! Elsie, shhh!' We're pretty sure Elsie was already asleep. Beth and David, the smart ones, were downstairs, so Barbara got to greet the toddlers when they decided it was time to awaken in the morning. Entrance into the room found Bryce gesturing to the decoration over his bed proclaiming 'the scissors will cut us!'. Needless to say, these two bed heads were quite safe.
