Adventures

Happy Valentine's Day funny bunnies!

Ah Atlanta.  One day snow, the next day 60 and sunny.  We took advantage of that over Valentine's weekend!  A little stroll at Paper Mill.  Clearly Brooke was dressed for it!

So happy with her cute dress from Patty and Phil!
Mommy had a whirlwind adventure too! Gwynne Davis, Beth Urban Cody and I drove to St. Louis to surprise Jen Owens Passini for her 40th!  We even got to catch up with Barbara and Gwynne's childhood friend, Helen Sweitzer Mihalevich, who joined us for pedicures and lunch!
We mostly enjoyed each other's company, laughed a lot, and relaxed.  We fit in a little tourist time too, visiting Schlaflys, driving by the Arch and having a great dinner on 'The Hill', the Italian part of town!

On favorite storybook character day, Bryce handsomely portrayed Harry Potter.  Our super duper reader read book 1 in the early part of 1st grade.  Due to content, the next book is on hold until 2nd grade.  However he loves the book and is proud of his ability to read such a lengthy tome!  We were lucky to borrow this from the Nulls!
Brooke's first adventure on the playing field!  Brooke is in the 'Smidgets' league at NASA.  We love the format.  30 minutes of practice followed by 30 minutes of a game, all at the same time each Sunday!  The kids mostly run around a lot followed by water breaks about every 2 minutes.  our favorite surprise of all was that Tad is on Brooke's team!  What a fun bonus!

In all fairness, I took this before Mrs. Perry had a chance to smile.  We LOVE Mrs. Perry, Bryce's first grade teacher. She is encouraging, laid back, and shoots straight when he has less than a 'green light' day. In the second row, 3rd from the left, is one of Bryce's best friends in his class.  Chloe also lives near by and he had a play date at her house a week ago.  They were both talking about it the entire week at school and at home!  They are quite the pair, obsessed with Pokemon, and Bryce's passion for chess is contagious, encouraging Chloe to enroll this semester!
